Happy Anniversary, April and Renato!
Renato and April got married on August 28th, 2005 at the beautiful
Montevilla Farmhouse. The delicious meal was prepared by
Alexa's Catering. They were such a passionate couple, and so obviously in love that we had a great time photographing them at their wedding.

Happy Anniversary, Danae and Andy!
Danae and Andy got married on August 20th, 2005 at the
Pierce County Environmental Services Center.

They had their ceremony outside, overlooking the water, and poured sand from the beach where Andy proposed:

I just loved the butterflies and flowers on their cake:

They had their reception inside and out. Here is one of my favorite pictures from their first dance:

Congratulations, Andy and Danae on your first year together as a married couple!

Happy Anniversary, Kacy and Kevin!
Kacy and Kevin had a touching ceremony at a beautiful location:
Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish.

Congraulations on your one-year anniversary, Kevin and Kacy!

Yong and Doug
Yong and Doug were so much fun. Stylish, creative, and very much in love, they were a pleasure to photograph. They had had their first kiss in Pioneer Square, and so that is where we went to do their engagement session. It was exciting for Bob and I to do a more urban session, as we usually do engagement sessions in a park or on the beach. This was a little different and definitely suited them as a couple.

We can't wait for your wedding, Doug and Yong!

Happy Anniversary, Laura and James!
Laura and James had a beautiful ceremony and reception on Whidbey Island. The weather was perfect, and all the guests seemed to be having a great time. Laura was in the process of starting a homemade chocolate business, and had made favors for everyone-- over 400 chocolates! They were delicious.
This was my first attempt at this effect, which I have reproduced for several brides since. I like how it looks like they are stepping into their future together:

Laura during the first dance. Although she thought she was "unphotogenic," she was anything but on her wedding day. Vibrant and happy and beautiful, she was a joy to photograph.

This little girl's mother was rushing to get her "out of my way," but she WAS the picture:

Congratulations on your one-year annivesary, James and Laura!

Genie and Heidi
Genie and Heidi got married on July 22nd, and I will post pictures from their wedding soon, but for now, here are a few from their engagement session in
Pike Place Market.

We had a great time hanging out with Genie and Heidi, who so obviously enjoyed each other's company and knew how to be goofy too. We are having a lot of fun playing with (I mean, working on) your wedding pictures.

Happy Anniversary, Soojin and Charles!
SooJin and Charles got married at the
Hyatt Regency in Bellevue. We photographed the happy couple and their families in the
Bellevue Downtown park:

Although SooJin and Charles were a little shy, they were willing to give each other a kiss as long as they were behind the flowers AND under the veil. Or maybe they were just pretending to kiss-- we'll never know :).

One of my alltime favorite shots from a wedding-- although Bob and I usually keep pretty good track of who took what picture, we don't know which of us took this one:

SooJin and Charles had a Korean ceremony after their Western ceremony-- we were very excited as we had not attended a Korean ceremony before. I loved all the colors and rituals:

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary, SooJin and Charles!

Antwanette and Brandon, July 1st
Antwanette and Brandon got married and had their reception at the
Fauntleroy Church, with catering by
