Winning Images
There have been some exciting happenings for us lately here at Rathbone Images.
First, a couple of my pictures were chosen by a brilliant fellow photographer to be on his website
Admiredby Beckstead.com. These are the pictures he liked:
Shadow KissWalking TogetherThen, one of Bob's pictures won 5th place in a
WPJA contest, which we are thrilled about. It was this image:

And, finally, Seattle Bride Magazine informed us that they would like to use one of our images for their editorial "Commitments." I'm not sure which picture they have chosen yet, but it will be from Amy and Chelsey's wedding on June 11th.
We put our heart and soul into this business, and it is so great to be recognized for our work. Thanks to all our wonderful brides and grooms and their families who have made these images possible!

Yong and Doug, September 23rd
Doug and Yong had a fabulously sunny outdoor wedding in September. They started out preparing in the spacious rooms at the
Sheraton in downtown Seattle. Here are Yong's fancy shoes enjoying the chandelier:

And Doug getting ready with his best man (yes, I did photoshop Bob's reflection right out of this picture):

We got to do lots of fun pictures with Doug and Yong and their bridal party at
Pike Place Market:

And
Gasworks Park:

Here they are in
Luna Park where they had their touching ceremony:

I call this one
"sleeping beauty:"
Yong changed into a Chinese style dress for the reception. I just love when brides incorporate traditions from their heritage.

Congratulations, Doug and Yong!

Happy Anniversary, LE and Jon!
LE and Jon had an intimate ceremony and dinner with close friends and family at their home in Seattle. LE handmade her own original beautiful blue and brown wedding dress.
They were so sweet together. Here they are right after the ceremony:

Joe's on Roosevelt:

Then they had a "reception" for all of their friends and family the next day at their house. Here they are dancing in the bubbles:

Jenna and Jordan
Jenna and Jordan are getting married this Saturday! We did some engagement pictures with them in Bellevue, first at the
Downtown Park, then at the
Meydenbauer Park.

Jordan and Jenna are a fun couple who are obviously very much in love, we can't wait to shoot their wedding tomorrow!

Happy Anniversary, Brooke and Michael!
Brooke and Michael got married at
Golden Gardens Park, which was a great place as it has an outdoor or indoor option. As it was raining earlier on in the day, Michael and Brooke had their ceremony inside.

But the sun came out right after the ceremony, and we took them outside for some pictures.

Fun was had by all at the reception, which included lego sets for the guests to put together during the cocktail hour, and individual table
s'more fixings for dessert.

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary, Brooke and Michael, and give us a call if you would like us to take some maternity pictures :).

Happy Anniversary, Julie and Robert!
Julie and Robert got married one year ago at the beautiful
DeLille Cellars, in Woodinville. The weather started out nice and then threatened rain. The bride and groom did not see each other before the ceremony, and Rob really wanted to have the ceremony outside, but they did not know whether the weather would hold. They were brave and had an outdoor ceremony-- there was some thunder, and it did start to rain, right at the end, as Rob and Julie had their recessional and the ushers grabbed the folding chairs to bring them inside where it was dry. It was quite dramatic. Julie's daughter Audrey, who was 4 at the time, had a part in the ceremony, with Rob presenting her with a necklace-- so adorable, and touching.
