Lacey and Chad, February 17

Lacey and Chad got married at the Red Barn Studios in Chehalis. It made a great backdrop for pictures (and it didn't hurt either that they had perfect weather).

The fun "formals:"

Lacey and Chad had some of the cutest flowergirls in the world (yes, I know ALL flowergirls are the cutest in the world :)). These twin 3-year-old girls had already been the flowergirls at three other weddings last year, so they had their duties down pat. Here they are trying to "plant" their flowers:

Lacey and Chad were gorgeous in front of the barn. Lacey's beautiful dress was made by Knars Custom Design Bridal.

The ringbearer was pretty adorable as well:

Lacey's Mom looks on during the ceremony:

Their ceremony was filled with laughter and joy:

During the toasts:

Much fun was had by all during the reception. Music was provided by DJ Chris Taylor, who did a great job keeping the party flowing. Lacey's Dad hugs her after they finish dancing:

A couple of the groomsmen ham it up:

We really enjoyed your wedding, Chad and Lacey, especially all your little unique touches (I loved the picture notepads!). Thanks for letting us share your day.

Catherine in Scotland

While in Europe, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Scotland and take pictures with the great David Beckstead (recently named one of the 10 best wedding photographers in the country by American Photo magazine). I brought my sister along, and she was our "model."

Here are a few of my immediate favorites from the day. I'll post more after I finish processing the pictures.

Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Pere LaChaise

While in Paris, we got to visit my favorite cemetary, Pere LaChaise. It is so huge and complex, with statues and monuments and stained glass windows. Jim Morrison is buried there.

I loved that this cat was just hanging out. It didn't seem to mind me taking its picture:

I just had to play with the 8mm lens on this guy, to make him pop out:

Old walls and stained glass windows:

Beautiful carvings:

Enjoy! And remember, we will be back in Seattle tomorrow, and staying for one week, so if you would like to schedule a consultation for that time, please call (206-898-2507) or e-mail (Bob@Peoplearebeautiful.com) to set up a meeting.

Paris!

We had one glorious week in Paris. Here are some of the highlights of the trip. I loved the light on these French cobblestones:

Here are some French schoolchildren learning to ice skate in front of the
Hotel de Ville:

My son taught himself to ice skate as well. He went around and around hanging on to the rail, saying "pardon" whenever he needed to pass someone. Eventually, he got the hang of it and ventured out on his own:

On a carousel and running up a curvy path:

And, of course, visiting the Eiffel Tower:

More Paris pictures coming soon!

Happy Anniversary, Songyi and Steve!

Steve and Songyi got married on February 4th, 2006 at the beautiful Newcastle Golf Club. Although there was a wind storm and the bride was feeling under the weather, they still had a touching ceremony and fun-filled reception. Songyi and Steve were one of those couples that just seemed to belong together.

Songyi's bridesmaids help her prepare:

Steve enjoys the ceremony:

A kiss under the veil:

SooJin (a previous wonderful bride of ours) toasts the happy couple:

Happy anniversary, Steve and Songyi! I hope you are enjoying your new home in California.
